INJURED BY FALL

MAN IN SERIOUS CONDITION

An apparently accidental fall down a 40-foot concrete bank at about 10 o'clock last night caused severe injuries to S. T. Sands, of 238 Queen's Drive, Lyall Bay. The Free Ambulance took him to hospital with fractures of both thighs and of the right-wrist and head and face injuries, and this afternoon his condition was reported lo be still serious.

It is understood .that Mr. Sands had been with a friend at the New Commercial Hotel. He was found lying at the. foot of a retaining wall behind the property of Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd.
