THREE MONTHS

NEXT PART OF SESSION

"SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT"

WILL CORRECT ANY MISTAKES

An outline of the Government's intentions in regard to the second part of the session was given this afternoon by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage).

Mr. Savage said that he saw no reason why the House should not adjourn by the end of October of this year. There was still a number of important matters to be dealt with, notably the mortgage legislation and the presentation of the Budget, but three months should be sufficient to see the completion of the session. Next year the House would probably not meet until he had returned from the Imperial Conference, probably some time in August. A suggestion had been made thai the House misht meet in February next year, but his feeling was that it would be unnecessary to ask members to' assemble before August. "During the present session we have passed much important legislation,'' said Mr. Savage, "and now it is a question of administration. "I want to say at once that if we find we have made mistakes, we will correct them at the earliest possible opportunity."
