. <*. Mr. J. S. Arnold, manager of the Randwick (Sydney) 'branch of the Bank of New South Wales, arrived from Australia today by the Maunganui. Mr. F. Gladstone Hill returned today by the Maunganui from Sydney. Mr. W. B. Eilbeck, of Sydney, is a through passenger to San Francisco by the Maunganui, which arrived from Australia today. Captain A. H. Davey, of the Union Steam Ship Company, arrived from Sydney today by the Maunganui. He is proceeding to England to take command of the new trans-Tasman liner Awatea. ■ The Rev. G. E. Moreton, of Auckland, who is visiting England, has taken charge of St. Michael and All Angels' Mission Church, Gainsborough, Lincoln, at the invitation of Canon RoundTurner, rural dean in the Diocese of Lincoln. Mr. Moreton will fulfil several preaching engagements in othef parts of England. Later, he will visit Scotland Yard and some of the principal prisons in England and Scotland. The Hon. E. R.
