t » An impressive and well-attended ser vice took place in Calvin Presbytenai Church, Brooklyn, yesterday morninj (June 7) when a new communion taoii was dedicated. The new table 1 massively constructed of nut-browi oak. The front and ends are panelle< behind heavy traceries of early Gothi v design, and the text,. "Behold the Laml s: of God," is carved in Gothic letterim r. on the top rail in front: The top i n framed out of two-inch material, heai , ily moulded, with two panels and ha l " five small crosses inlaid in.cedar. Th e table was designed by the mimstei h the Rev. D. M. Hercus, and construe d ed by friends inside and outside th i- parish. New cut-glass vases for th ■« table were presented by the Bibl Classes attached to the congregatio. Five new communicants were admitte e at a later stage of the service, and th s - subiect of the sermon was "Consecn > lion" from the text "For their sakes a- sanctify myself." g In the evening the service was ,e choral one, of meditation and petitio n for a fuller experience of the Hoi n Spirit and entitled "The Fruits of tt Spirit" This service Was divided ml eight sections—loye, jd,y peace lon ; H suffering, gentleness, faith meeknes ;i- and temperance, upon which appi r- priate lessons, hymns, and praye were offered.
