DEATH AFTER ACCIDENT

Hilton John Trail, aged 10, who fell from a tree at Ruakaka on December 12, died at the district hospital last evening. At an inquest the acting superintendent stated that the boy, "who fell a distance of 34 feet and broke a leg, remained unconscious until December 30, when he began to make a general improvement. This continued until January 13, when he complained of pains in the abdomen and became unconscious, succumbing to meningitis.
