VIOLENT COLLISION

A REMARKABLE ESCAPE

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) FOXTON, This Day.

Two cars met in violent collision at an intersection of the main highway through Foxton at noon today. A taxi driven by •J. Hooker, of Stratford, was proceeding north when it collided with a lighter touring car driven by Miss Tucker, of Marton. The latter car was lifted in the air and it crashed through a" fence and went over a fifteen-foot bank into a drain, landing upside down. Miss Tucker had to' be extricated from the wreckage, but miraculously escaped with minor injuries. No one else was injured.
