In its match against Patiala, Mr. F. Tarrant's Australian team, in its first innings, scored 484 (Morrisby 145, Ryder 78, Maharajah of Patiala 15; Amirelahi six for' 164).
Patiala made 352 and 77 for thres wickets (Maharajah of Patiala, two for 40).
The match was drawn,
An X-ray examination revealed that Wendel Bill (who retired hurt after making 118) has received a fracture of the jawbone. It was properly set, but he is not expected to play before the Madras match.
Ironmonger is reported to be welt, and may play at Secunderabad. Allsopy is still convalescing.
