BUS STRIKES LORRY

COLLISION ON HUTT ROAD

Slight injuries to her uack.were received by Mrs. C. R. Ross, of 16 Railway Settlement, Kaiwarra,- as a result of the bus in which she was' a passenger colliding with the back of a lorry on the Hutt Road a little'north of the first bridge. : ' V

Shortly after '4 o'clock ; yesterday afternoon, the bus, a • new; 34-seater, was proceeding north;behind* a lorry. The lorry went, to turn- off to the right, but had-to pull up as another car was approaching, and the bus crashed into -the truck,' sustaining,'.damage to its radiator. H. Gibbons, driver of the bus, was slightly, shaken. Mrs. Ross was able to return, home after being taken to the hospital by, the Free Ambulance for treatment, and examinar tion. The driver of the truck was John L. Jonasen, of 157 Cuba Street, Petone. : !■:.
