A crushed right knee and leg were suffered by Lawrence Downes, an apprentice engineer residing at 41 Maida Vale Road, shortly before 4 p.m. yesterday, as a result of being caught in a machine in a foundry at Holland Street. He was taken, to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
