YULETIDE PARTY
"CINDERELLA" PLAYED
The gaily decorated hall was the scene of a joll;* Christmas party given by the Wainui-o-mata Institute members to all the clvldre 1 in the Wainui Valley. Mrs. White, the president, extended a welcome to the juests, and the children made mwy with games and dancing, ice ureams and orange drinks being handed round at intervals. The play, "Cinderella," was performed by the drama circle members, and delighted the children. Tea, delicicus cakes, and sandwiches were partaken of, after which Father Christmas arrived in state, attended by "Prince Charming," "Cinderella," and the "Fairy Godmother." The large Christmas tree, laden with mysteriouslooking parcels, was the centre of attraction when Father Christmas summoned the children for their gifts. Balloons were presented by "Cinderella." Noel Walker, the oldest school boy, on behalf of the children, thanked the members for the delightful party. Each child, on leaving, was presented with a bag of sweets.
