FOG IN ENGLAND
TRANSPORT AFFECTED

A large part of the Midlands and Southern England has been enveloped all day in .fog, which is expected to grow thicker as the night goes on! ■ Road, rail, and air communications have air been affected. Express trains from the north are arriving at London three and four hours behind time. Many inWorists have had to abandon their cars by the roadside.: There was fog in the Channel this afternoon, when Mr. Anthony Eden ; and other members of the British delegation to Geneva arrived back.. The steamer on \vhich the party travelled was late on reaching Folkestone.. ■
Difficulties .of motor transport are increased in many parts by snow and ice on the roads.
