The New Zealand-bred Bunsby Gaze was expected to v/in the Bendigo Cup but could finish only fourth. He is owned by Mr. J. H. Lienhop; president of the Bendigo; Jockey Club, in part-nership.-with Mr. W. Vrowley, a member of the committee. Bendigonians stood- loyal to him to a man in the President's Handicap on the second day, and Bunsby Gaze atoned by winning easily by , two lengths.
