BAND CARNIVAL.
Nine days of real joy are promised during the currency of the Tramways Band carnival, which opens on the Evans Bay foreshore oh Boxing Day and continues until January 4. The band is to be in attendance each
The aim of the promoters of the carnival has been to provide enters tainment for young and old. Some' of the attractions include a masked bathing beauty contest. Entries for this close tomorrow. Prizes of a total value of £20 are to be awarded Another highlight is expected to be the tug-of-war competition, for which entries also close tomorrow.
