Both galloped well. The two-year-old Pink Polly galloped four furlongs next the rails in 53 3-ssec, and finished strongly. Viking, with less than 6st up, ran six furlongs on.the same track in Imin 15 l-ssec, the last half-mile in 51 2-ssec. Disguise was sent six furlongs in Imin 21sec, the las three taking 38 2-ssec. Hogan !came yesterday with the two-year-oids Asset and Double Gift, Wonderful, Queen of Song, Vervain, Nightgem, and Superex. Wonderful and Nightgem do not race on Thursday. : ' ' J. Mclnally, a brother to O. McInally, arrived in Dunedin on Saturday morning from Melbourne by the Marama, and has joined his brother. He has been riding for R. Hatch at'the country meetings in Victoria, and he had some, success. He will be riding this week at Wingatui, one of his mounts so far being Capital.
