HOLIDAY RUBBISH
DELAYED COLLECTION
The collection of household rubbish in Wellington during the Christmas and New Year holidays will be delayed owing to the way in which the statutory holidays fall. In an advertisement appearing in this issue, the City Council announces the dates of normal collections, and the dates on which the postponed collections will, occur. Householders, are requested to. burn what rubbish" they can, wrap other rubbish-in paper, and keep the lids on their tins, to keep out flies. Refuse tips and the Corporation weighbridge will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing, Day, and New Year's Day. > At Lower. Hutt the. collection which would ordinarily take place on Wednesday, December 25, will take place on the day before. The collection which would normally take place on Boxing Day and New Year's Day will take place the. day following in each instance. : At.Petone there will not be a delay exceeding two days after the ordinary collection days during the holidays.
