NOISE
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —One often reads in the papers complaints of noisy motor-cyclists, which at times are pretty bad, but to my mind, far more annoying are neighbours who persist in giving parties lasting till the early hours of the morning. To lie in bed listening to a piano being played at its loudest, people singing at the top of their voices, and children running round the house is certainly very nerve-racking. Nobody should object to an occasional party lasting until midnight, but after that it is certainly very trying to elderly people and invalids.—l am, etc., ELDERLY INVALID,
