POLICE PROSECUTIONS

Prosecutions brought by the police against motorists for breaches of the city traffic regulations were dealt with by Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Eva Dwan was fined £1 and costs for negligent driving.

For failing to keep, to the left of the centre line of the road Arnold Leonard Stevenson was convicted and discharged upon payment of witnesses' expenses.

Edward Jones was fined £1 and costs for failing to give way to traffic approaching on the right, and was convicted and discharged for failing to keep to the left at the centre line of the road.

Bertram Hawkins was fined 10s and costs for having inefficient brakes on his motor-car, and convicted and discharged for having his car parked incorrectly on a grade.

For failing to give way to traffic approaching on the right, Wilbur Charles Young was fined 10s and costs.
