MAGISTRATE'S COURT

The sitting of the Magistrate's Court today was presided over by Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M.

Edward Charles Cotter, a labourer, aged 57, a statutory fourth offender for drunkenness, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment. He had had forty-seven previous convictions.

Edmond McDermott, a seaman, aged 42, a second offender, was fined 10s, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment. .

For an offence within view of a public place, Joseph Hartley, a labourer, aged 33, was admitted to probation for twelve months.
