The trip from Christchurch to Blenheim occupied 1 hour 12 minutes, and from aerodrome to aerodrome 1 hour 18 minutes, a new record. The party on board comprises Mr. A. R. Thompson (manager at Christchurch for the Union Steam Ship Company), Mr. F. M. Clarke (technical adviser to Union Airways), Squadron-Leader McGregor (service manager), Mr. B. A. Blythe (chief pilot), Flight-Lieutenant A. J. Garland (first pilot), Flying Officer J. R. White (first pilot), and' Mr. L. Meanghan (chief ground^ engineer).
The machine leaves for Christchurch at 2.30 p.m.
