POLICE AT SYDNEY

WATERFRONT PRECAUTION

SYDNEY, This Day.

As a precaution against trouble on the waterfront today, a squad of police has been placed on special strike duty.

For some days extra men, mostly in plain, clothes, have patrolled the wharves, but these are to be supplemented .by additional uniform men and detectives. Another squad will be held in reserve at police headquarter* in case of sudden emergency.

At Canberra the Federal AttorneyGeneral; Mr. R. G. Menzies, denied that Commonwealth police were being stationed on the Sydney waterfront
