"GAY NINETIES" DANCE
HERE AND THERE
ROYAL CHORAL UNION
A very enjoyable "Gay Nineties" dance and social was held by the Royal Choral Union at the Pharmacy Hall recently, a large number of members and friends being present. Much amusement was caused by the costumes worn, and prizes were awarded to Mrs. F. Cheverall and Mr. H. Brusey.
Songs were rendered by Mrs. Marshall and Miss C. Young, and sketches were given by Misses Conquest and Mills, Messrs. Shearer, McKenzie, and Jan Ike. A competition was won by Miss E. Prescott and Mr. E. S. Andrews. Mr. Stanley Oliver presented the prizes. The accompaniments were played by Miss' Mills. Mr. Shand was responsible for the dance music, and Mr. Brusey carried out the duties of M.C.
Supper and dancing brought a happy evening to a close.
