Crowds estimated at between 250,000 and 400,000 packed the Champs Elysees during the Armistice Day parades and sang "The International" and "The Mar-Tlllaise." Fascist groups marched to the ._rc de Triomphe, while Communists shouted "Assassins." There were several clashes and a, number of arrests were made. A National Deputy, M. Henriot, was among those injured. Tension prevailed in the evening on the boulevards, where large forces of police broke up groups.
