CLOSING OF SUEZ
NOT DISCUSSED AT PARIS
LONDON, October 8.
After a meeting at Paris of the directors of the Suez Canal Company it was stated that the question of closing the canal or raising dues for' the transport of arms had not been discussed.
An official of the company said: "International jurists have concluded that by the Suez Canal Convention of 1888 the canal can neither be closed to Italian ships nor blockaded." -
