FRENCH AND ITALIAN VIEWS

Most of the French newspapers congratulate the League, but urge caution in applying sanctions.
In Italy the Press barely mentions the League decision, describing it as an arbitrary procedure inspired by Mr. Eden. Official circles are confident of obtaining requirements from friendly nations if economic sanctions are applied.
