DR. BERTRAM THOMAS'S LECTURE.
Dr. Bertram Thomas, the* famous Arabian traveller, who is at "present: inNew Zealand, will deliver ■ a lecture under the auspices 'of the Victoria College Council and the Wellington Philosophical Society in St. Francis Hall on Monday next, October 14, at 8 p.m. Dr. Bertram, Thomas has a unique experience in Arabia" and Irak and has made, a very close study of the peoples, geological'features, 'plant life, etc., particularly: of the more remote portions of Southern Arabia. When alone in 1931 .he ventured into the unknown , regions of Southern Arabia in the guise of a nomad Arab he explored one of the few remaining portions of the earth's surface where previously no white man had ventured.
