MIRAMAR LADIES' TOURNEY
YESTERDAY'S PLAY
The two qualifying rounds for the Miramar Ladies' open golf championship, which were played yesterday, were headed by Miss Hornabrook and Miss Petrie (Miramar). Miss Hornabrook did 86 and 86, and Miss Petrie 85 and 87. Miss Petrie's 85 was the best morning round, and she was heading for a brilliant score when she finished weakly with 6,6,7. Miss Barns-Graham, who has been selected to play for the North Island against the British women's team at Auckland this month, came third with rounds of 86 and 87, and would have done much better had her putting been more accurate. Mrs. Crisp (Poverty Bay) took 88 for the first round, but met disaster in the afternoon, taking 96. TEAMS' MATCH. The teams' match played yesterday afternoon was won by the Miramar team with an aggregate of 370. Their scores were:—Mrs. Foreman 84, Miss Griffen 91, Mrs. Russell 91, Mrs. Dalgleish 104. • .The second jnedal handicap was won by Mrs. Latham, 88, 13—75, in the first divisiohj and by Mrs. Park, 93, 16-^77, in the second division.
