MODERATE PAY-OUT

MASTERTON DAIRY COMPANY

(By Telegraph.) (Speciai to the "Evening Post.") MASTERTON, This Day. In spite of the high prices now rising for butter, a policy of caution in the "matter of monthly pay-out was adopted by the directors of the Masterton Dairy Company at their meeting yesterday.

It was decided to make a pay-out of lid per lb,on .finest butterfat received during September.-The directors recognised .that in_ the present stato of the market this pay-out might be 6a the moderate side,. but considered it wise and prudent not to set a standard which might later have to be lowered, with. disappointment to suppliers.

It was pointed out that if present prices are maintained, further payments will be made towards the end of the season, which will give suppliers something to fall back upon during the winter months.
