TWELVE KILLED
MAIL 'PLANE CRASHES
CAUSE NOT KNOWN
(Received October 8, 10 ajn.) CHEYENNE (Wyoming), October 7 Nine passengers, the pilot, the copilot, and the stewardess were killed early this morning when a United Air lanes mail aeroplane crashed 15 miles west of Cheyenne. The machine did not catch fire. The cause of the crash has not been determined. The aeroplane was proceeding from Oakland, California, to New York.
