SIX-HOUR DAY PAGEANT

PROCESSION IN SYDNEY

SYDNEY, October 7.

The Labour movement's six-hour day pageant today was one of the most colourful and representative in its history. Over 20,000 trade unionists and many bands took part.

The State Labour leader (Mr. J. T. Lang) and other prominent Labour politicians were at the head of the procession which traversed city streets. In addition to scores of silken banners, there were a number of anti-war slogans, trade displays, and spectacular floats.
