At the Ballarat competitions the national song class was won by Mr Ray Trewern (Wellington) with 92 points In winning the national songevent Mr. Trewern has also won the vocal championship. His aggregate POJ'Vf were 19, Mr. Anthony Strange (Melbourne) gaining 17 points and second place. The vocal championship also carries the Governor-Gen-eral's gold medal. ;
