A feature of the nominations for the Waikato Trotting Club's Meeting on October 19 and 21 is the inclusion of three Wellington-trained pacers, Logan's: Pride, Supertax, and Rare Rey, all-of whom have won races at Epsom in past -seasons.^.- ..'..;. : . -
Although it is several years since J. F...'Cotton::visited Auckland with Logan's Pride, the good form shown by the Logan Pointer gelding/has not been forgotten. As he has been showing some sign of recovering his dash recently; lie will, add interest to the sprint races. ■ -':■■.
Supertax, who won at the Auckland June Meeting, has this season shown further ; goo.d form,, having won at Addington and Hutt Park and gained placcrmpney; at' New: Brighton. The Maxegiti; horse,has done well for the ■veteran; irairier T.; Leadbetter.
Rare Hey \yas successful in Auckland when trained by F. J. Smith, but has done very little racing since joining L. O, Thomas's stable in June. As ■he should be better for his racing at Wellington' last month ■he may shortly be striking good form again.
