MOTIONS OF CONDOLENCE

An expression of regret and condolence with Mr. T. Forsyth in the loss of his wife was passed by the City Council last night.

Condolence with, the relatives of the late Mr. J. P. Luke was expressed in a resolution passed by the council. The late Mr. Luke, said the Mayor (Mr. T. C. A. Hislop), was a prominent citizen and took an active part in various public affairs throughout the city. He was also the son of an esteemed Mayor of former years.

Sympathy with the Rt. Hon. Sir Francis Bell and the members of his family was expressed by the council in the loss suffered by the death of Lady Bell.
