THREE KINDS OF POISON

Dealing with the influence of the mind on the body, Mr. W. S. Binks delivered an interesting lecture in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall last night to the largest audience that has attended any of the lectures Mr. Binks has given in Wellington under the auspices of the Universal Opportunity League. He elaborated his theme with original comparisons and'by means of lantern slides and a lightning sketch, an accomplishment of Mr. Binks that has created much interest He said there were three kinds of poison that broke down, the health and harmony of physical life. Generally speaking., they might be described as fear poisons, fatigue poisons, and food poisons. It had been proved conclusively that the operation of the fatigue and food poisons was facilitated very much by the lowering of the rate of vibration of the physical entity through fear. He illustrated how there were some fears which preyed upon individuals in a subtle manner almost unknown to the individuals, as distinct from fears that were of sudden manifestation and intense character. The attack ujson fears was best achieved by surveying the position and finding the root causes; it was a curious fact that when the individual realised the real cause of his fears he was freed from their destructive action. Mr. Binks will lecture again tonight and tomorrow night for the last time.
