ASSOCIATION MEETS
FUTURE TOURNAMENTS
Four golf clubs—Manawatu, Napier, J Hamilton, and' New Plymouth—have applied for permission from the New Zealand Golf Association to hold the 1936 championship meeting on their links, according to ■ a report at the monthly meeting of the association, held yesterday. A recommendation as to the allocation of the championships is to be asked for at the annual meeting of delegates. The Strathmore Park Club, Wellington, and the Renown Club, Huntly, were elected to membership of the association. -. . Forthcoming tournaments were announced to the association as follows:— New Zealand open and amateur championships, Christchurch Golf Club's links, October 11 to October 19. Titirangi Golf Club tournament, October 19-21. Ashburton Golf Club, Mid-Canter-bury tournament, October 26-28. : Pahiatua Golf Club, annual tournament, October 28. North Otago Golf Club (Oamaru), Labour Day weekend tournament, October 26 and 28. Manawatu. Golf Club, annual tournament, October 26, 28, 29. Seafield Golf Club (Wanganui), annual Labour Day tournament,' October 26, 28, 29. Taihape Golf Club, annual tournament, October 26 and 28. Hawera Golf dub, annual Labour Day tournament, October 26-28. . Hutt Golf Club, annual tournament, October 26-28. .. Hamilton Golf Club, South Auckland champion of champions match, October 27. . Hamilton Golf Club, Labour Day open tournament, October 28. Picton Golf Club, annual handicap tournament, October 26-28. North Shore Golf Club (Auckland), annual amateur summer tournament, December 27, 28, 30. Avondale Golf Club (Christchurch), Easter open tourney, April 11, 13, 14, 18, 1936. Avondale Golf .Club (Christchurch), South Island veterans' handicap, to be included, in the above Easter open tourney. Castlecliff Golf Club (Wanganui), Easter tournament, April 10, 11,13.
