MINING RETURNS
The following is the official return of Worksop Extended Gold Dredging Co., Ltd.:—Yield, 670z;. hours dredged 133; yards dredged, 9800. With reference to the Golden Sands gold return announced on Saturday, September 28, the secretary states the following particulars:—Approximate value of gold produced, 490z 14dwt at £7 per oz, £347 18s; approximate mining expenditure, £90 2s. The above figures are in connection with the foregoing parcel only, representing a fortnight's sluicing. Waitahu Gold Mining Co., Ltd., reports that a partial wash-up on Friday yielded 730z lOdwt. The previous wash-up was on September 8. Mataki dredge return for the week ended October 6 was 440z, for 117 hours' work.
