Mahakipawa Goldfields, Ltd.; reports for week ended August 28:—East crosscut from top of incline (1515s x lOOw) has been extended, to 23 feet in an easterly'direction. After the first Bft the bottom fell slightly and has continued more or less level for the last 10ft. There is about 2ft of wash showing on the south side of the face and only a few inches'on the north. The wash is composed of small stones and is typical of terrace wash. It contains no values. This crosscut would have 'to be continued for over 200 ft before; cutting the old drive so there is plenty of room for there to be another gutter. i
