NAVY LEAGUE.
The annual meeting pf the Wellington branch of the Navy League will be held in Gamble and Creed's rooms, Lambton Quay, at 8 p.m. on Monday, July 29, when all members of the Navy League and their friends arc expected to be present. The Navy League'is a propagandist society hampered in no way by party political considerations or social distinction or sectarian differences. Its aim and object is world peace, which in past centuries has been very largely influenced by a strong British Navy, to which we must now add a strong British Air Force. The Minister of Defence, Mr. J. G. Cobbe, and Captain L. V. Morgan, Second Member of the Naval Board, have both consented to deliver addresses which will be followed by a musical programme and supper. The Mayor will preside. The secretary requests those who intend to be present to notify the office before July 25.
A cable from London states that A. Perry, A. H. Padgham, and C. A. Whitcombe won the first three places in1 the British Open Golf Championship, all using the new Sixty-five Dunlop > Ball. In fact, seven' out of the first nine players used Dunlop. Following last year's success, when Henry Cotton won the Open Championship and returned a record score of G5, this latest advice further proves the supremacy of Dunlop. Try the new Dunlop Sixty-five—the ' ball In: inc.- low-handicap player.l-Advli '
