WEDDINGS
BENNETT—ASTON.
A wedding was solemnised at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Pahiatua, recently, when Olive Marjory, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Aston, Pahiatua, was married to John, third son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Bennett, of Shannon. The Rev. V. A. Bianc'ai officiated.
The bride, who entered the church with her father, was attired in a gown of peach silk crepe. Her veil was of the same colour and was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. She earned a shower bouquet of pink camellias, and gypsophila. The bridesmaids were Miss Audrey Aston (chief), sister of the bride, and Miss Isabel Gosse, of Wellington. The former wore a model frock of red silk marocain, a bandeau of brilliants in her hair, and carried a bouquet of red camellias and foliage. The latter looked charming in a marina blue frock of silk marocain, with a bandeau of brilliants and bouquet of pink camellias and gypsophila.
The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Floyd Franklyn as best man, and Mr. Colin. Turnbull, of Palmerston North, as groomsman. Mrs. Rombach, of Mangatainoka, presided at the organ.
The reception was held later at the residence of the bride's mother, who wore a brown model frock relieved with fawn. The usual toasts were honoured and a very enjoyable time was spent by all in dancing and cards. The happy couple were the recipients of many beautiful gifts.
