CITY MILK SUPPLY
WOMEN'S STUDY CIRCLE
The members of the Women's Study Circle recently received an address from Miss Barnes on "A Clean and Safe Milk Supply." The speaker stressed the importance of absolute cleanliness in the handling of milk. Not only, she said, did this apply to Wellington, but to the farms and farming utensils. The efficient machinery in the Wellington milk factory guaranteed that all bottles used in the distribution of milk were thoroughly cleaned and sterilised^ and all'work was carried on under the most up-to-date and. hygienic conditions, i She added that Wellington had undoubtedly set a fine example in this respect. In the • pasteurisation of milk nothirig was left to chance and its value was great. Miss-Barnes''also urged the immense value' of milk to' growing children. The milk-drihkihg habit was a diseas&tfesisting one, she said, and milk would beautify the complexion and tone up the skin.
