A White Paper discloses that Mr. Cordell.Hull, on June 1, in a Note to the British Ambassador, indicated that •the United States is prepared to diplomatically discuss any proposals for the payment of Britain's outstanding War, Debt by instalments. ' ;

Sir Konald Lindsay, British Ambassador, replied that the essentials were ■unchanged since the last Note. Britain would be prepared to resume the discussions whenever ,ihe circumstances warranted a satisfactory result.
