M. Laval, formerly Foreign Minister, has ■' succeeded in forming a Cabinet.

The new Government extends from Radicals to the Right group under M. Marin.

A surprise appointment is that of M. Regnier, who assumes the burden of the financial and economic crisis. Probably he was chosen for his experience as a former rapporteur of the Budget in the Senate. His only previous Cabinet post was the Ministry of the Interior in M. Flandin's brief Cabinet. . He is a lawyer by profession.

The new Cabinet is as follows:—
