THE TENTH LECTURE Oi' the Series under the title ol "TURNED UNTO FABLES" " Will be delivered (God willing) in the above Hall on SUNDAY at 7 p.m., When further evidence will be produced from the Scriptures to show that the false and contradictory doctrines of the Churches of Christendom literally fulfil the following prediction of the Apostle Paul: "THE TIME WILL COME WHEN THEY WILL NOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE . . . THEY SHALL TURN AWAY THEIR EARS FROM THE TRUTH, AND SHALL BE TURNED UNTO FABLES." (2 Tim. 4:3-4, see also Pet. 2:12, Luke 18:8, Isa. 60:2, Isa. 25: 7, Jer. 16:19, etc.) The subject will be "THAT THE CHURCH IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD"—A FABLE. THE OBJECT of this lecture is to show that the Bible clearly teaches (in contrast to "the fables" current in Christendom) that the Kingdom of God is a Kingdom to be literally set up on earth by the Lord Jesus Christ at His second coming.' (2 Tim. 4:1, Matt. 6:10, Rev. 11:15, Dan. 2:44), the establishment of which will involve the destruction of all existing Kingdoms and the abolition of all presentday forms of human authority (political and ecclesiastical); the details (as revealed in the Bible) of this coming Kingdom, being:— (a) THE KING—The Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 17:31, Zech. 14:9, Isa. 9:6, Jer. 23:5-6, Rev. 19:15-16). (b) THE THRONE—The throne of David restored in Jerusalem (Eze. 21:27, Isa. 9:6-7, Luke 1:32, Acts 2:30, Matt. 19:28, Matt. 25:31). (c) THE TERRITORY—AII the earth (Zecli. 14:9, Zech. 9:10, Psa. 2:6-8, Rev. 11:15, Psa. 67:4, Psa. 82:8). (d) THE CAPlTAL—Jerusalem the geographical centre of the earth (Luke 21:24, Matt. 5:35, Jer. 3:17, Isa. 24:23, Joel 3:17, Isa. 52:9). (c) THE RULERS—The immortalised accepted of all ages (the saints) (1 Cor. 6:2, 2 Tim. 2:12, Rev. 5:9-10, Rev. 20:6, Dan. 7:18, Dan. 7:22 and 27, John 5:28----29, Dan. 12:2, 1 Cor. 15:51-54). (f) THE MOST FAVOURED NATIONThe natural seed of Abraham—the Jews—restored again to Palestine (Jer. 33:24-26, Jer. 31:28, Eze. 37:21-22, Jer. 31-10, Mic. 4:6-8, Zeph. 3:19-20, Zech. 8.23, Matt. 19:28). ' ~.... (g) THE SUBJECTS—The mortal lnhabitants of the whole earth (Dan. 7:13-14, Zech. 14:9, Acts 17:31, Isa. 2:2-4, Psa. 72*8-11) (h) THE LAWS—Divine (Isa. 2:3, Rev. (i) RELIGION AND WORSHIP--(Zech. 14:16-19, Zech. 8:20-22, Isa. 56:7). (j) THE ULTIMATE RESULT—"GIory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men (Luke 2:14, Numb. 14:21, Gen. 22:18, Psa. 72, Isa. 11:10, Jer. 23:5, Acts 17:31, etc.).
