WEDDING
REID—TIPLING.
The wedding took place at St. Paul's ProTCathedral recently of Ruby Maud, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. V. Tipling, Toorak, Melbourne, to Keith Gilvaine, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Reid, De Crespigny Park, London. The Rev. Whitby James, Palmerston North, officiated.
The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr. C. M. Turnbull, wore a gown of magnolia satin, cut on classical lines, and carried a sheaf of white roses. Her Honiton lace veil, kindly lent by a friend, was arranged with ruchings at the back of the head and fell to the ground over her train. The bride was attended by Miss Grace Cur'ran (chief) and her cousin, Miss Shirley Tipling. The bridesmaids were simply frocked in peach pink floral taffeta, and carried gladioli sheafs to tone. Their tulle hats completed a pleasing ensemble.
Mr. Grattan Harrison was best man, and Mr. Gordon Fraser groomsman. While the register was being signed, Mr. A. Brady rendered a solo. Mr. Robert Parker, C.M.G., presided at the organ.
Mr. and Mrs. Turnbull received the guests at ■ the. Lyceum Club rooms, where the reception was held. Mrs. Turnbull wore a silk cordaman and beige lace frock, with hat and posy to tone.
When the bride and bridegroom left for the south, the former wore a navy tailored costume with hat to match.
