ISSUE OF FALSE CHEQUE
MAN RECEIVES THREE YEARS' GAOL

NAPIER, This Day. Edward Mountford Tunnicliffe, a showman and labourer, aged 43, was sentenced by Mr. Justice Blair to three years' imprisonment on a charge of uttering a forged cheque for £1000 on the National Bank of New Zealand at Napier.
