MAORI BURNED TO DEATH
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, This Day. An elderly Maori, who was trapped m a whare, was burned to death at Gordonton last evening. The victim, Hone Poarna, aged 79, lived alone in a whare at Uordonton, and had been bedridden for twelve months. .He was last seen at 8 o clock last, evening, when a relative saw him m bed with a lighted candle alongside nun. At the inquest a verdict of accidental death was. returned.
