SALT QUARRY COLLAPSES
THIRTY PEOPLE MISSING
(Received May 10, 10.40 a.m.) CALCUTTA, May 9. Thirty people are missing and it is feared are dead as the result of the collapse of a salt quarry at Khera, the greatest salt field in the Punjab. The workings caved in with a terrific reverberation, and many workers narrowly escaped entombment.
