• .—, , > | A yery successful bridge party was held in St. Peter's Hall, Lower Hutt, on Tuesday afternoon in aid of the Girl Guide funds. , T^ie hall, which was decorated with bowls of chrysanthemums, hydrangeas, and autumn leaves, was well'filled with. Players. ,• ' During the afternoon, Mrs. Olphert (retiring president)l made a presentation of a leather purse to Miss - M. Campbell who, after untiring services as Guide captain, has retired owing to her leaving the district. Thepresentation was made on behalf of past and present committees, j The committee members in charge of the afternoon were as follows:—Mesdames Burgess (president). Butchers.
