JUBILEE BALL
Nothing is being left to chance tb ensure the success of the naval an& military ball which will take place at the- Town Hall next week. Although" the day before the ball will be election day, and the hall will not be vacated till late, the energetic committee is 'arranging to set to work as soon as possible on a capital scheme of. decoration.
Plans for refreshments during ■ the | evening both upstairs and down have been made, and continuous dancing will.be possible to the best music.
Their.Excellencies are expected to arrive at 9.15 and ,will be received by Major-General Sir William SinclairBurgess, Captain L. V. Morgan, R N Wing-Commander T. Wilkes, and Lieut.Colonel C. H- Weston,: on. behalf pf
the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Legion of Frontiersmen respectively. A trumpeter from the band will sound a warning call and dancing will cease while their Excellencies are conducted to their lounge, when the Band of the Wellington Regiment will play the National Anthem.
