PLUNKET PARTIES
JOHNSONVILLE. *[-/'/ The Johnsonville branch of the Plunket Society held a children's fancy dress party in the Parish Hall recently. A wide variety of fancy costumes was displayed before a large audience. Mesdames Grey, of Pukerua Bay,,Hassell, of Porirua, and Waite, of, Wellington, acted as judges. Mr. Campbell Cree organised games and community singing. The sum of £7 was raised. . Mr. G. A. Lawrence, chairman of the Town Board, thanked all those who helped 'to make the party a success. LOWER HUTT EFFORT. An enjoyable evening to aid the funds of the Plunket Society's Lower Hutt branch was held at the residence of Mrs. Keith Sharp, Woburn, Lower Hutt. Games and competitions provided entertainment for the guests,'whose contributions were later handed to the society.. Those present included the following:—Mesdames W. Smith, A. Welsh, C. Lincoln, A. Wilson, J. Butler (Christchurch), J. Mac Donald, A. Doran, J. Clarke, E; Davies, H. Crook, Slade, and X; Sharp.
