It does not seem to be very generally realised that there is in Wellington a very active and thriving branch of the Dickens Fellowship, which meets monthly for mutual enjoyment of- the novelist's work, and-also to'realise in some small measure their spirit of true brotherhood and understanding of the problems of life (combined with a desire to help our less fortunate brethren), which is the real meaning of the fellowship inspired by the great writer. All admirers and students of the works of, Charles Dickens are cordially invited to be present at any of the meetings. ■
